3 Tips for Designing Your Custom Home

You want your custom home to be perfect. After all, it represents all of your hopes and dreams when it comes to having a forever home.

You want your custom home to be perfect. After all, it represents all of your hopes and dreams when it comes to having a forever home. Whether your family is complete or you expect it to grow sometime soon, you want to be sure that there is enough room for everyone underneath your roof. Here are some helpful tips for designing your home

Keep It Simple

When it comes to building a custom home, keeping it simple is often for the best. Use a pen and a piece of paper to list out features you want and even make sketches that will help your custom home builder team understand what you want

Plan Ahead

You should also plan ahead for the future. Your family growing could be from the introduction of new pets or children, but it could also be from older relatives needing to stay for the holidays or for a longer spell than that. You never know what the future holds, so your custom home should be designed with that in mind!

Add More Light

There are plenty of ways to capture more natural light in the summer. Using larger windows and skylights are two easy ways to accomplish this. Then think about how the rooms and parts of each room should be situated. Face your dining nook east where it will catch the morning light. Task lighting in the kitchen and dimmable lightning in bedrooms can be useful ways to make the most of artificial light as well.
