Another reason to choose ranch home plans is that these houses cost less to maintain than their counterparts. Since you won’t need to use a ladder, cleaning off the windows, siding, and gutters is much easier than if your home had several stories!
4. Lower price point:  Many times custom homes are made smaller to reduce the cost of the purchase.  Ranch style homes can be built smaller than other styles because the stairs make other styles difficult to design at less than 1,800 sq. ft.   Designing a home with less square footage is the quickest way to bring down the initial cost of construction.
