Testimonials

Scott,

This is just a letter of appreciation for a job well done. You and your staff -- Dale and Rodney etc., just to mention a few. Your input was most helpful and valued in our decision making to finalize plans. The hours spent sitting around the table made our dream possible, everything went smoothly. Even after our home was completed you were always there to answer questions that we may have had to our satisfaction. Most importantly you took the time to explain the building process and set our minds at ease.

We thank you.

Home Improvement

I was a general contractor in New Jersey for over 30 years. I’ve seen the good, bad and ugly of the building business. I recently had an in-law suite added to my home by Accessible Home Builders of Seaford, DE. I am old school, my word is my bond. It is refreshing to know that there are still builders with the same code. Rodney and his field staff are very knowledgeable and handled every aspect of the job in a professional manner. Do yourself a favor, when looking for a quality builder, keep Accessible Home Builders in mind. Thanks Accessible.

The process of building a home can be a struggle to say the least, but doing it from a few hours away can be like flying blind. This is why we feel extremely fortunate that we chose Accessible Home Builders. They did everything possible from Day 1 to make sure our home building experience was pleasant and successful. Dale did a fantastic job getting us started and walking us through all the necessary steps. His commitment continued through the entire project and was a key to our overall happiness. All of our interaction with Scott, Dale, and the entire Accessible team was helpful and enabled us to bring our ideas to life.

Being very "particular" people, we knew it would be difficult to come up with a home that we would love considering the number of choices that we needed to make. Accessible did a great job of allowing us to explore our ideas and change plans/ features/ layouts as necessary to fit the functionality of our lifestyle. Our home turned out beautiful and we could not be more pleased. The list of items that we are especially happy with seems too long to list, but just a few of our favorites include the columns that enabled our open floor plan, our tray and cathedral ceilings, the 2x6 exterior walls and deep window sills, our maple cabinets, the large kitchen island, our gas fireplace, all the windows and more!!

The true sign of a happy customer is repeat business. We don't plan on building another home in the near future, but if it does happen Accessible will be our choice again. They have our highest recommendation and sincere appreciation. So to Scott, Dale, Rodney, and the rest of the team, THANK YOU for everything!!

Dear Scott,

It's not when things are going right that one determines whether a partnership is working. It's when the unknown happens. In any project the size of building a house, chances are that everything won't go according to plan. That is when a customer learns the worth of choosing a builder with strong integrity. We felt that was the type of partners we had in Accessible as we went though the building process.

There was never any doubt that the Accessible crew desired a quality product, and that desire matched or exceeded even our own to ensure we were satisfied with the outcome. We're very proud of the house that you built for us. Dale, Ben and you along with the rest of the staff were some of the nicest people with whom we've dealt. Dale's creativity, flexibility and suggestions were a benefit in making decisions. You all made the adventure a pleasure, and we thank you.

If we ever decide to build again, we'll be contacting you in a heartbeat. Thanks for making our house the home we wanted.

Building your Home

If you're planning to have a home built, you probably realize that it will be an exiting time in your life, yet it can be a stressful time as well. But it doesn't have to be if you do your homework first and choose the right builder.

My wife, Kristy and I recently went through the process. We had purchased our lot a few years earlier, but decided to wait until both of our kids were out of school before building our home. Because we were not in a hurry, we had time to explore all options.

Once we decided on a stick-built home, we needed to choose a builder. We spoke with several, and we examined numerous houses in progress. We were most impressed by the workmanship we saw in the Accessible homes. In addition, Accessible does not use cheap "builder grade" flooring, appliances, and fixtures. Our home included two-by-six exterior walls, which allow for thicker insulation, and the Energy Star Certification.

From the start, Dale kept us involved. He called at least once a week to keep us informed, and he encouraged us to visit the site often and to call if we had any questions or concerns. Inevitably, as your house comes together you will think of things you want to add, such as an outlet here or a wall switch there. We chose to add insulation to the wall between the living room and master bedroom to serve as a sound deadener.

Dale estimated that it would take six months to complete our house, depending on weather and other factors beyond Accessible's control. Knowing how construction projects often go, I figured half again that long, or nine months. Construction began in February and ended in July, a mere five months later.

Now that we've been living in the house for awhile, we've come to appreciate the many touches Accessible added, even though we didn't think to ask them for. These include the numerous electric outlets, generous closet shelving, a lighted crawl space with a dehumidifier, and a large capacity water heater.

We don't plan to build another house, but if we change our minds, there's no question who we'll call.

Dear Scott,
It has often been stated that the success of any company may be measured by the quality of its employees. After working with you and your employees, it comes as no surprise to us to see the tremendous quality of our new home. It became apparent to us from our earliest meetings with you that you took great pride in the quality of both the homes you build and the materials you use to construct them with. From the framers to the finish personnel, everyone involved showed that same pride and respect.

We were always impressed with the prompt and courteous responses to any and all questions we had during the building process. Due to all of the planning and decisions involved, the task of building a house has the potential to be a daunting one. However, Accessible Home Builders, Inc. helped make building our new home an easy and stress-free experience. For this we are truly grateful.

We are very pleased with your work while building our home, and therefore offer you our highest recommendation. We wish you all the best.

Sincerely,
Rick and Kathy Hoffman
